Beacon is a privacy and security-oriented browser with the aim of revolutionizing traditional certificate authorities through the implementation of decentralized peer-to-peer naming systems, DNSSEC, and DNS-Based Authentication of Named Entities (DANE).

We utilize a lightweight peer-to-peer client that seamlessly connects to the Handshake network and synchronizes block headers within seconds.
Featuring on-device DNSSEC validation, Beacon eliminates the need to rely on external resolvers. Furthermore, the browser abstains from centralized DNSSEC signing keys and instead validates proofs from the Handshake network.
Empower your device with encrypted DNS support incorporating Handshake naming compatibility. Through Handshake's interconnection with other systems like Ethereum via HIP-5, Beacon facilitates access to such domains as humbly.eth or impervious.forever.
Identify websites secured by decentralized DNS-Based Authentication by seeking out the "Secured by Handshake" mark.
